Thorvaldur "Valdi" Hafberg is a very experienced diver and has been  diving since 1992. He finished GUE Fundamentals , Naui OW and Master Scuba, PADI AOW, Rescue Diver and Divemaster, Nitrox with IANTD. Valdi is also a commercial – with C and D qualifications from the Icelandic Maritime Administration. Valdi is also certified as a truck and bus driver and captain of boats up to 30 tonn. He also has his own company, Iceland Underwater Films, offering experience and professional equipment for underwater filming in HDV and DV quality. He has worked for Icelandic, French and German TV stations but also offers to rent the equipment. The equipment is a Sony HDR-FX1 HDV-DV Gates housing with monitor, wide port and flat port lenses and two Green force 100 HID lights and more.
